Ways to Volunteer
We offer a variety of volunteer opportunities to suit your interests and skills:
Event Support: Help with organizing and running workshops, food drives, or community events.
Administrative Assistance: Support with data entry, program coordination, or outreach efforts.
Creative Projects: Share your skills in graphic design, writing, or content creation to spread our mission.
Mentorship Programs: Guide youth and entrepreneurs through mentorship initiatives.
Donation Sorting & Distribution: Assist in organizing and distributing resources for our food locker or consignment closet.
Workshop Facilitation: Lead or assist with workshops on topics like gardening, self-publishing, homeschooling, or wellness.
Volunteer Requirements
To ensure we provide the best experience for our volunteers and those we serve, we ask that you:
Complete a brief volunteer application.
Attend a volunteer orientation session.
Commit to a minimum of 10 hours per month (or as agreed upon).
Uphold To A Tea’s values of inclusivity, respect, and community care.
Complete a background check
Volunteer Background Check Policy
At To A Tea Inc., we are committed to creating a safe and welcoming environment for the communities we serve. All volunteers are required to complete a background check as part of our onboarding process.
Please note:
Having a criminal record does not automatically disqualify you from volunteering with us. We believe in second chances and understand that people can grow and change. However, for the safety of those we serve—especially children and vulnerable populations—we do have firm restrictions.
We cannot accept volunteers with the following convictions on their record:
Sex crimes or offenses
Crimes against children
Family violence
Human trafficking or exploitation-related charges
